Welcome to St. Andrews, Samakee

I am very pleased that you are considering St. Andrews International School, Samakee for your child. We are a very special family school with a unique atmosphere and we pride ourselves in making sure that every child feels secure and happy as soon as he or she steps over the threshold. Weekly ‘Newsletters’ will inform you of activities and events concerning your child as well as information concerning the local community.

The school is set in a beautiful green garden with ample space for rich outdoor play activities; imaginative, physical and exploratory. The facilities are outstanding and include a large playing field, a covered play area with sand pit, Thai play house and purpose built play equipment and swimming pool. Two teaching blocks, provide spacious classrooms as well as an art room, library, ICT suite and music room.

We offer excellent, quality education; parents are valued as a partner in their children’s learning and their involvement is welcomed. Our environment is child centred and we recognise that children learn best through play based activities and first hand experience. Our
team supports and encourages the children to acquire knowledge by actively experiencing the world around them – choosing, exploring, experimenting, manipulating, practicing and transforming. The children have access to a stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors and our aim is to help our children become autonomous, creative and motivated learners in control of their own learning. What children can do is the starting point in the educational programme at Samakee.

At our school, we believe that our greatest resource is our teachers. They are fully qualified and experienced native English speakers with a special talent and enthusiasm for teaching using a child centred approach. Our teachers work together as a team and we use their expertise to provide our children with the highest standards of teaching and learning. You will find a range of teaching methods being used to ensure that each child is given the best opportunity to achieve maximum efficiency in literacy, numeracy and a wide range
of subjects.

Our school is currently available to all nationalities of children aged between 1-11 years, Toddlers – Year 6. We provide flexible attendance times and our youngest children may attend for a minimum of two sessions per week, increasing these as required, subject to consultation with the class teacher and the availability of places.
